A Short Guided Meditation for Begginers

The Small Med Series

By Mary Magdalene

Small Steps Lead to Great Shifts.

This is a short guided meditation for beginners. Remember, be gentle with yourselves while starting and along the way. Thank you for being here with us. This is a small community that's meant to share daily tips and teachings, along with 1:1 sessions. This one has to do with your meditation time.

As I’ve said before, it’s essential we rewire our brain from this traumatic every day life. This is no therapy, this is no substitute for your psychologist. This is guidance, this is sharing.

So let’s get straight to it.

Take a break, stop scrolling. This came to you for a reason. The reason is you.

Close your eyes and take three long deep breaths from your nostrils. Feel the air filling your belly, your chest, invigorating your body, your tired muscles, and blow out slowly from your mouth, releasing each time the tension and stress that swarms your body, your mind and your soul. Repeat this cycle of three breaths for a total of three times.

Now sit in a relaxing position and start to examining your toes. Are they relaxed? How about your ankles? Your knees? Continue the same way going from your feet up to your head and check that each and every part of your body is relaxed. And if it’s not, use the initiating breaths again.

Now that you are relaxed, clear your mind. Think of place that makes you feel calm, protected, blessed to be there, happy and full. Walk in that place. Feel the ground under your toes. Smell the air of this place, feel its breeze on your body. Touch the place. Feel it and let it fill you. Spend some time there. As long as you need it.

Before coming back, it’s essential that you thank the place that sheltered you at this time of meditating. Feel gratitude for this experience and let these positive feelings sink in your heart and fill it with warmth and peace. Say gently goodbye, and return slowly.

Now open your eyes. You did it sweetheart!

Remember. You need to practice daily or every two days. Even for a couple of minutes during the day. Before bedtime. When waking up. Whenever you feel it suits you best.

I’m waiting for your experiences in the comment section of our socials or in private messages.

Have a blessed day.
